DONORS AT THE HEART OF OUR ACTIONS!

"When you reach a certain age, you assess your life and realize it has been quite satisfactory. However, one must be humble enough to realize this success is not solely ours. The environment in which we were born, the education and training we received, and the support of our family and especially our spouse have greatly contributed to this success. The same is true of all the resources we have used in society, including educational institutions from elementary school to university. All these resources allowed us to achieve the main objectives we had set for ourselves to succeed, such as - Being able to find ourselves in something we love - Getting married and educate our children so that they become independent and responsible adults – Being able to protect ourselves and our family from short- and long-term financial worries. - Being happy. We must become aware that, in life, we can't always take and never give anything back. I realized this a few years ago and understood that it was my turn to give back to society. I have known La Maison through the experiences of families who have used their services and have been able to testify to the quality of the care provided. They had nothing but gratitude for this Maison and its staff. The visit allowed me to notice the atmosphere of dignity and serenity. We are privileged to have such an establishment in Laval. Cares are free of charge, and a qualified medical staff does the patient's follow-up. Providing palliative care services at home is often difficult due to inadequate equipment, space, or staff. La Maison de la Sérénité can take over 24/7 and provide patients with exceptional end-of-life care. We must support it."

- Mr. Claude Sauriol, major donor of La Maison de la Sérénité

On Thursday, December 1st, Mr. Paolo Galati, city councilor of St-Vincent de Paul, presented us with a check of $1000 from the city of Laval for our Christmas Campaign and in support of La Maison de la Sérénité’s mission. This donation was a pleasant and welcomed surprise as La Maison de la Sérénité celebrated the illumination of its 4 Christmas trees to launch the holiday festivities! In the picture, with the one and only Santa Claus, are Mr. Galati and Mrs. Nicole Buchanan, Executive Director.

THANK YOU to the city of Laval!

We want to thank Mrs. Nathalie Jolivet (photographer) and Mr. Nicolas Archambault (photographer and videographer) for supporting La Maison de la Sérénité with our photo and video projects!

We also would like to give a special thank you to Mrs. Nathalie Grimard, who took on the challenge to translate our entire website. The result is awesome!
