Sponsors for the Funding Activity
A sponsor can be an individual, a company, an association, etc. that offers an amount of money, a product, or services in exchange of visibility or promotion during the fundraiser. The amounts received from sponsors are not eligible tax receipts.

Receipts for Tax Purposes
La Maison de la Sérénité rigorously follows the standards and policies of the Canada Revenue Agency's Tax Act. It is therefore imperative that you do not make any promises of receipts to donors, sponsors, or partners without consulting a team member of La Maison who can advise you on the eligibility of a donation.
La Maison automatically issues a tax receipt for all donations of $25 or more.

Permit and Insurance
Some activities require a permit, such as bingo, raffles, or alcohol licence. You are responsible for obtaining all necessary permits for your activity. La Maison cannot apply for you or provide a letter of authorization for a permit request. If you wish to sell alcoholic beverages during your activity, we strongly advise you to organize it in a venue that already has a permit.

Representation of La Maison

La Maison wishes to be present at fundraising activities organized by members of the community. However, it is not always possible to ensure availability, due to the high number of events per year or the date of the activity. If you wish to have an on-site representative during your activity, please advise us 30 days before the event and we will do everything in our power to attend.
Agreement - TAKE NOTE OF THE FOLLOWING
1. La Maison de la Sérénité will not advance any funds for the organization of a fundraising activity and the committee may not make any expenses on behalf of La Maison.
2. Also, we are not responsible for the commitments and partnerships made by the organizers of the activity.
3. All advertising or promotional materials for the event, including any use of the logo of La Maison, must be approved by La Maison.
4. The organizers of the fundraising activity release La Maison from any liability associated with the fundraising activity.
5. The organizer will be responsible for the sell of tickets, finding and awarding prizes for the activity.
6. La Maison must approve any solicitation of spokespersons for the activity.
