Volunteer Coordinator

 

Qualifications

  • Diplôme d’études collégiales en sciences sociales (service social, animation communautaire et en loisirs, gestion des ressources humaines) ou autre formation et/ou expérience pertinente à l’emploi

  • Trois (3) et cinq (5) ans d’expérience dans un poste similaire

  • Connaissance supérieure du français et de l’anglais à l’oral et à l’écrit

  • Facilité à communiquer et à s’exprimer en public

  • Accueil et sa disponibilité

  • Grande capacité d’écoute et sa compassion

  • Leadership et sa capacité d’adaptation prouvé

  • Expérience en supervision et en gestion d’équipes (un atout certain)

  • Habilités relationnelles démontrées et sa capacité à établir des partenariats avec l’équipe

  • Sens de l’organisation et de gestion des priorités (un atout certain)

  • Sens des responsabilités et de prise de décision

  • Connaissance de la philosophie de gestions de bénévoles et du domaine de la philanthropie

Summary of duties

Relevant de la Direction générale, le titulaire de ce poste veille au bien-être, à la mobilisation et au développement des bénévoles de La Maison de la Sérénité.  Le titulaire assure le recrutement, l’accueil, l’intégration et la formation des bénévoles pour la réalisation de notre mission. Le titulaire appuie et conseille les autres membres de l’équipe dans leurs interactions avec nos équipes de bénévoles. La personne aura éventuellement à augmenter le nombre de bénévoles parallèlement à l’allègement des mesures sanitaires pour répondre aux besoins.

  • Poste permanent (28 à 35 heures par semaine)

Day shift nurse, 9/14 (long-term replacement)

 

Summary of duties

Reporting to the Coordinator of Nursing Care, the nurse assesses the patient’s condition and carries out the therapeutic nursing plan. In cooperation with the interdisciplinary team, they ensure the patients’ comfort and their loved ones’ in a safe environment. Experience in palliative care is an asset. Retirees welcome.

Working Conditions

  • Long-term replacement daytime position, 9/14, including every second weekend

In cooperation with the interdisciplinary team, they ensure patients' and their loved ones’ comfort in a safe environment. Experience in palliative care an asset. Retirees welcome.

  • Recall list position with no guaranteed hours

Nursing Assistants

 

Status: Recall list, 10-15 hrs/week

Schedule: Day and evening shifts

Main duties

Reporting to the nurse, the nursing assistant contributes to assessing the patients’ condition and to the achievement of the therapeutic nursing plan. They carry out their duties while prioritizing comfort care and preserving the patients’ independence. They work in cooperation with the interdisciplinary team to meet the needs of the patients and their loved ones, with sensitivity and care.

Qualifications

Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in Assistance in Health Care Facilities recognized by the Ministère de l’Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport (minimum of 750 hours’ training);

  • Ability to work with people at the end of life

  • Ability to listen, observe and show empathy

  • Ability to work in a team

  • Interest in working with volunteers

  • Good knowledge of written and spoken French

  • Salary based on experience, evening and night shift premium.
